Youve
spent hours pouring over magazines to find the
perfect design for your new spa-like bathroom
retreat. Youve chosen the perfect tile, the
whirlpool tub, beautiful faucets and luxurious
shower sprays.
Dont
stop there. Insist on a Fantech ultra-quiet
Premium Bath Fan or Fan with Light to protect
your new dream bath from the harmful effects of
moisture, steam and odors.
Its
powerful ventilation that you can live with.

| Look
for the Energy Star Symbol ... Fantech is
proud to partner with Energy Star to
provide energy efficient bath ventilation
products for your home. In fact, more
than two-thirds of Fantech Premium Bath
Fans exceed the minimum standards
required for Energy Star Qualified
products.
See
Quick View Selection Guide to easily
identify models that carry the Energy
Star symbol.

The Ultimate in
Design Flexibility and Quiet Operation!
Dont
let the roar of a noisy bath fan disrupt your
peace and quiet. Choose an ultra-quiet, energy
efficient Fantech Premium Bath Fan to protect
your bath from the damaging effects of mold and
mildew.
| A New Level
of Flexibility Unlike
standard exhaust fans, the motor of a
Fantech fan mounts in a location away
from the living area such as an attic.
Small unobtrusive Ceiling Grilles, with
or without lights, can be mounted in
multiple locations over the shower, the
toilet and/or the tub then ducted to the
remote fan to quickly and efficiently
whisk away moisture, steam and odors. One
fan can also be used to ventilate two
bath-to-back baths.

Bath Fans &
Fans with Lights Single Grilles
| Clear the air in
smaller baths and powder rooms with the
help of a Fantech Premium Bath Fan or
Bath Fan with Light. A
small-scale grille mounts in the ceiling
while the fan motor mounts in a remote
location away from the living area. The
result is quiet yet powerful ventilation
that is sure to protect your home from
the damaging effects of moisture, steam
and mold.

|
 |
| FAN
SIZING FOR BATHS UNDER 100 SQ.
FT. According
to the guidelines of HVI (Home
Ventilating Institute) baths 100
square feet or smaller require
one CFM per square foot of
bathroom*. To find the square
footage simply multiply the
length of the bath by the width.
|
EXAMPLE
7' x 9' bath = 63 sq. ft.YOU
WILL NEED
A 63 CFM FAN.
* Minimum
50 CFM
|
 |
| NOTE: For
proper airflow in typical
installations (when duct losses
aren't calculated), use the
0.4"Ps (static pressure)
rating point for correct fan
selection. |

Friendly Installation
| Fantech Premium
Bath Fans are flex duct
friendly making installation fast
and easy. We recommend: 1. Use
insulated flexible duct. (Insulated flex
duct allows sound from the fan to
dissipate gradually so that it can not be
heard in the bathroom.)
2.
Ideally you should have at least 8 feet
of flex duct between ceiling grilles and
fan.
3.
If applicable, use multiple ceiling
grilles or ceiling grilles with lights.
|
 |
Did
You Know??
 |
HVI (Home
Ventilating Institute) recommends that
the bath fan be left on for 20-minutes
after the use of the bathroom. ASHRAE (
American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating and Air Conditioning
Engineers) recommends that controls be
installed on bath fans for low level
continuous or intermittent ventilation.
Ventech
Programmable Controls can do all that and
more! (See below for complete
description.)
|
Bath Fans &
Fans with Lights Dual Grilles
| As the trend to
larger spa-like bathrooms continues to
gain in popularity, the need for proper
ventilation becomes more important. Gone
are the days of a single bath fan in the
center of the room. The key to proper
ventilation in oversized baths filled
with luxurious amenities is true spot
ventilation at the source.
Quick
removal of moisture at the source will
keep your beautiful bath free of mold and
the effects of extreme moisture.
Fantech
has developed its Premium Bath Fans so
that one remote mounted fan motor can
effectively ventilate several areas of
the bath.
Ceiling
Grilles or Ceiling Grilles with Lights
can be easily positioned over showers,
whirlpool tubs, steam showers, toilet and
vanity.

|
 |
| FAN
SIZING FOR BATHS OVER 100 SQ. FT. Ventilation
for baths over 100 square feet is
calculated based on the fixtures
in the bath. Allow 50 CFM for
each standard toilet, shower or
tub. Whirlpool and jetted tubs
are calculated at 100 CFM. Add up
the CFMs for all fixtures and
you'll have the total CFMs
required.
|
EXAMPLE
11' x 14' Bath = 154 square feet
1 Toilet + 1 Shower + 1 Jetted
Tub = 150 CFM
1 Toilet 50 CFM
1 Shower 50 CFM
1 Jetted Tub 100 CFM
Total 200 CFMYOU
WILL NEED
A 200 CFM FAN.
|
 |
| NOTE:
Fantech recommends that steam
showers use a separate fan on a
timer so that the fan may be shut
off during shower use and then
run afterward to dry the shower
stall. |

| Think
bathroom exhaust fans have to be loud to
be effective? Think
again.
|
 |
Do bathrooms fans have to
sound like a wind tunnel to get the job done? The
truth is, noisy bathroom exhaust fans lose much
of their effectiveness, simply because people
don't want to use them. So, odor, moisture, mold
and mildew build up. Even the most elegant
bathrooms become unattractive, and may suffer
long-term damage.
Fantech
bathroom exhaust fans are designed to operate
quietly and effectively, so people actually use
them. Yet their affordability means they're right
for every bathroom-from simple to luxurious.

Why?
Simple. They're quiet, efficient and
reliable, and they're easy to install.
Better still, Fantech offers a choice of
interior and exterior mounted fans. So
there's a Fantech bathroom exhaust fan
for every situation.

Ventilation
Solutions That
Really Let Off Steam.
Please note:
The Home Ventilation Institute (HVI) does
not currently have a sound test standard
for remote mounted fans. Fantech fans are
considered remote mounted fans because
they are not mounted within the living
area. As a result, Fantech is unable to
list sone levels for our products. In
most cases, a remote fan will be quieter
than one mounted within the living area.
