To better air quality, upgrade your existing filter to the one with a more efficient MERV class. Note that the upgrade will reduce the airflow capability of your ventilator.

MERV 3 Rated Filter

This replacement kit features 2 or 4 washable, aluminum air filters with a MERV3 rating (varies by model). The filters will collect particles such as insects, debris, lint, and carpet fibers. With normal usage, it is recommended that you vacuum clean and wash the filter every 3 months and replace it every 5 years.

MERV 8 Rated Filters

The replacement filter kit features 2 pleated or 4-6 synthetic filters with a MERV8 rating (varies by model). The filters will collect mold spores, pollen, cement dust, carpet fibers, debris, lint, and insects. With normal usage, it is recommended that you replace the filter every 3 months.

MERV 13 Rated Filters

The replacement filter kit features 2, 4, or 6 pleated air filters with a MERV13 rating (varies by model). The filters will collect mold spores, pollen, pet dander, smog, bacteria, cement dust, carpet fibers, debris, and lint. With normal usage, it is recommended you replace the filters every 2 months.
