Active Soil Depressurization
The active soil depressurization (ASD) radon mitigation system is the most popular and successful method used today for lowering radon levels. The ASD system depressurizes the soil by actively drawing in the air and gas from below the slab or vapor barrier (if there is no slab) and exhausts it above the roofline through a 3-4 inch PVC pipe.
ASD systems consist of several key components: suction point, suction pit, mitigation fan, 3-4 inch PVC pipe, flexible couplers, U-tube manometer, and exhaust point.
Fantech offers mitigation fans and installation kits to complete your ASD system.
